Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the visa, luggage, and customs formalities. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle. After checking in and relaxing, you will enjoy a welcome dinner cruise on the Nile, where you will savor a delicious buffet, watch a folkloric show, and admire the city lights. You will spend the night at your hotel in Cairo.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and driver who will take you to the Giza Plateau, where you will witness the most iconic landmarks of Egypt: the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, and the Great Sphinx. You will have the opportunity to enter one of the pyramids (optional, extra ticket required) and to ride a camel around the pyramids (optional). You will then visit the Solar Boat Museum, where you will see the reconstructed boat that was buried next to the Great Pyramid for the pharaoh’s journey to the afterlife (optional, extra ticket required). After lunch at a local restaurant, you will continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the largest and most modern museum of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the world. You will explore the impressive collection of statues, mummies, jewelry, and other objects that span the history of Egypt from prehistoric times to the Roman era. You will also see the treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his golden mask and coffin (optional, extra ticket required for the Royal Mummies Room). You will return to your hotel in Cairo and spend the night there.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and driver who will take you to Saqqara, the ancient necropolis of Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. You will see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest stone structure in the world, and the Pyramid of Teti, where you can admire the beautiful hieroglyphs inside the burial chamber. You will also visit some of the mastabas, the tombs of the high officials of the Old Kingdom, such as the Mastaba of Mereruka and the Mastaba of Ti. You will then proceed to Memphis, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II, the alabaster sphinx, and other relics from the ancient city that was founded by King Menes around 3100 BC. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will head to Dahshour, where you will see the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, the first attempts of the ancient Egyptians to build smooth-sided pyramids. You will have the chance to enter the Red Pyramid, the third largest pyramid in Egypt, and to marvel at its unique design and structure. You will return to your hotel in Cairo and spend the night there.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and driver who will take you to the Egyptian Museum, the old museum of ancient Egyptian artifacts that houses more than 120,000 items. You will see the statues, sarcophagi, papyri, and other objects that showcase the civilization and culture of the pharaohs. You will also have the option to visit the Royal Mummies Room, where you can see the preserved bodies of some of the most famous rulers of Egypt, such as Ramses II, Hatshepsut, and Thutmose III (optional, extra ticket required). You will then visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the new museum that displays the heritage and diversity of Egypt from prehistoric times to the present day. You will learn about the different aspects of the Egyptian life, such as religion, art, science, and crafts. You will also see the mummies of the 22 kings and queens of the New Kingdom, who were transferred from the Egyptian Museum in a grand parade in April 2021. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will proceed to the Salah El Din Citadel, the medieval fortress that was built by the famous Muslim leader Salah El Din (Saladin) in the 12th century to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. You will explore the citadel and visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the most prominent landmark of the citadel, also known as the Alabaster Mosque for its white marble exterior and interior. You will admire the Ottoman-style architecture and the splendid domes and minarets of the mosque, and enjoy the panoramic view of Cairo from the courtyard. You will then head to Coptic Cairo, the oldest part of the city, where you will see the remains of the Roman fortress of Babylon and the ancient churches that date back to the early centuries of Christianity in Egypt. You will visit the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and learn about the history and the legends of these sacred places. You will also visit Old Cairo, where you will see the oldest mosque in Africa, the Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, and the oldest university in the world, the Al-Azhar University. You will also walk through the narrow streets and alleys of Islamic Cairo, where you will see the beautiful mosques, madrasas, and houses that reflect the Islamic art and architecture of different periods and dynasties. You will end your day at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the largest and the most famous souk in Cairo, where you can shop for souvenirs, handicrafts, spices, perfumes, and more. You will also experience the lively atmosphere and the local culture of the bazaar, and taste some of the traditional Egyptian snacks and drinks, such as koshary, falafel, and mint tea. You will return to your hotel in Cairo and spend the night there.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and driver who will take you to Alexandria, the second-largest city and the main port of Egypt, located on the Mediterranean coast. Alexandria was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC and was the capital of Egypt for almost a thousand years. It was also the center of learning and culture in the ancient world, and the home of the famous Library of Alexandria and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will start your tour of Alexandria by visiting the Qaitbay Citadel, the 15th-century fortress that was built by Sultan Qaitbay on the site of the former Lighthouse of Alexandria. The citadel is a fine example of the Mamluk military architecture and a symbol of the city. You will explore the citadel and enjoy the view of the sea and the harbor from its walls and towers. You will then visit the Serapeum of Alexandria, the ancient temple dedicated to the god Serapis, a syncretic deity that combined aspects of the Egyptian and the Greek gods. The Serapeum was also the site of the Daughter Library of Alexandria, a branch of the main library that contained thousands of scrolls and manuscripts. You will see the remains of the temple and the underground galleries that were used for storing the sacred bulls of Apis, the manifestation of the god Ptah. You will also visit the Kom Ash Shoqafah, the Roman Catacombs of Alexandria, the largest and the most important burial site from the Greco-Roman period in Egypt. The catacombs consist of three levels of tombs and chambers that can accommodate up to 300 corpses. You will see the unique fusion of the Egyptian and the Roman art and motifs in the decoration and the sculpture of the catacombs, such as the triclinium, the banquet hall, and the Hall of Caracalla, where the bones of the horses and the humans were found. After breakfast on board, you will continue your tour of Luxor by visiting the East Bank, the living area of the ancient city, where the temples and the palaces were located. You will see the Karnak Temple, the largest and the most complex religious site in the world, dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, the king of the gods. The temple was built over a period of 1500 years by different pharaohs and rulers, who added their own contributions and modifications. You will explore the temple and see its remarkable features, such as the Avenue of the Sphinxes, the Great Hypostyle Hall, the Obelisks of Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis III, the Sacred Lake, and the Temple of Khonsu. You will then visit the Luxor Temple, the other major temple on the East Bank, which was connected to the Karnak Temple by the Avenue of the Sphinxes. The Luxor Temple was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, and was dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, his consort Mut, and their son Khonsu. The temple was also the site of the Opet Festival, the annual celebration of the rejuvenation and the union of Amun-Ra and Mut. It was also the source of the granite that was used for building the pyramids and the temples of Egypt. You will start your tour of Aswan by visiting the Philae Temple, the beautiful temple dedicated to Isis, the goddess of magic and love. The temple was originally located on the island of Philae, but it was relocated to the nearby island of Agilkia after the construction of the High Dam, which threatened to submerge it under the water. You will take a motorboat to the island and explore the temple, which consists of a main temple, a birth house, a kiosk, and a gate. You will see the statues, the reliefs, and the inscriptions of the temple, and learn about the cult and the myths of Isis and her husband Osiris, the god of the underworld. You will then visit the High Dam, the modern engineering marvel that was built in the 1960s to control the flooding of the Nile, generate hydroelectric power, and create the largest artificial lake in the world, Lake Nasser. Upon your arrival in Hurghada, you will check in at your resort, where you will enjoy an all-inclusive package that includes accommodation, meals, drinks, and entertainment. You will spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
