Pyramids of Giza. Sphinx
Your day trip to Cairo from Luxor by plane will start with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Luxor. You will be transferred to the airport, where you will board your flight to Cairo. The flight duration is about one hour, and you will enjoy the scenic views of the Nile and the desert along the way. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will meet your guide and driver, who will take you to your first destination: the Pyramids of Giza. These are the most famous and impressive monuments in Egypt, and they date back to over 4,500 years ago. You will have the opportunity to see the three main pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the smaller pyramids of the queens and the nobles. You will also get to see the Sphinx, the mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, which guards the pyramids. Next, you will head to the Egyptian Museum, which houses the largest and most important collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world. You will also have some free time to shop for bargains and haggle for the best prices. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to the airport, where you will catch your flight back to Luxor.
