Join 9 Pyramids Tours for an 8-day classic tour that covers the most amazing attractions and places to visit in Egypt. You will start your journey in Giza, where you will see the legendary pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the immigration and customs procedures. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle. You will have some time to relax or explore the city on your own. In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner cruise on the Nile, where you will see the lights of Cairo and watch a folkloric show with belly dancing and tanoura. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and start your full-day tour of Giza and Cairo. You will visit the Giza Pyramids Complex, where you will see the three main pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the smaller pyramids of the queens and the nobles. You will also see the Great Sphinx, the mythical creature with a lion’s body and a human’s head, and the Valley Temple, where the mummification of the pharaohs took place. You will have the opportunity to enter one of the pyramids or ride a camel around the complex (optional, extra fees apply). Then, you will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the new home of the ancient treasures of Egypt. You will see the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the famous golden mask of Tutankhamun and the royal mummies. You will also have the option to visit the Mummy Room or the Royal Jewelry Room (optional, extra fees apply). After lunch at a local restaurant (optional, extra fees apply), you will continue to the ancient sites of Memphis and Saqqara. You will visit Memphis, the first capital and the oldest city of Egypt, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx. Then, you will visit Saqqara, the first necropolis of Egypt, where you will see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first pyramid ever built, and the Pyramid of Teti, where you can enter and see the pyramid texts. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and be transferred to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival at Luxor Airport, you will meet your guide and start your full-day tour of Luxor. You will visit the West Bank of the Nile, where you will see the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. You will enter three of the most impressive tombs, where you will see the colorful paintings and hieroglyphs that depict the afterlife journey of the pharaohs. You will also have the option to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun or the tomb of Ramses VI (optional, extra fees apply). Then, you will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, a tribute to the first female pharaoh of Egypt, who ruled for 22 years. You will admire the elegant architecture and the statues of Hatshepsut and her divine father,Amun, who was the king of the gods and the patron of Thebes. You will also visit the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded his mortuary temple. After the West Bank, you will have lunch at a local restaurant (optional, extra fees apply). Then, you will visit the East Bank of the Nile, where you will see the Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in the world. You will walk through the impressive pylons, obelisks, columns, and halls that were built by different pharaohs over 2,000 years. You will also see the sacred lake, the scarab statue, and the hypostyle hall, which has 134 massive columns. You will also enjoy the Luxor Temple, a masterpiece of ancient architecture and art that was dedicated to the triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu1. You will see the statues of Ramses II, the obelisk, the sphinxes, and the reliefs that depict the festivals and rituals of the ancient Egyptians. You will also see the remains of the Christian church and the Islamic mosque that were built inside the temple. After the East Bank, you will check in to your hotel in Luxor and have the rest of the day at your leisure. After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and be transferred to Edfu, where you will visit the Temple of Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt. You will see the magnificent entrance, the courtyard, the sanctuary, and the walls that are covered with hieroglyphs and scenes of the god Horus and the pharaoh. You will also learn about the legend of the conflict between Horus and Seth, the god of chaos. Then, you will continue to Kom Ombo. You will have dinner on board the cruise (included). In the evening, you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique temple that was dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility, and Haroeris, the falcon-headed god of the sky. You will see the two symmetrical halves of the temple, each with its own entrance, hall, and sanctuary. You will also see the reliefs and the inscriptions that depict the medical and the astronomical knowledge of the ancient Egyptians. You will also see the crocodile museum, where you will see the mummified crocodiles that were found in the temple. Then, you will return to the hotel in aswan and overnight in aswan.

After breakfast , you will drive to Aswan, the southernmost city and the gateway to Africa. You will visit the High Dam, a modern engineering feat that controls the Nile River and provides hydroelectric power and irrigation for Egypt and Sudan. You will learn about the construction and the benefits of the dam, as well as the challenges and the controversies that it faced. Then, you will take a motorboat to the Philae Temple, a beautiful sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus. You will see the elegant pylons, columns, courts, and chapels that were decorated with exquisite carvings and paintings. You will also learn about the history and the legends of the temple, as well as the rescue and the relocation of the temple due to the rising water of the Nile. Then, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, a massive granite monument that was never completed. You will see the cracks and the flaws that caused the abandonment of the project, as well as the marks and the tools that were used by the ancient workers. You will see the four colossal statues of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, as well as the smaller statues of their children and the gods. You will also see the reliefs and the paintings that depict the battles and the victories of Ramses II, as well as the solar alignment phenomenon that occurs twice a year. You will also learn about the relocation and the preservation of the temples due to the construction of the High Dam. After the tour, you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for your domestic flight to Cairo.
