Itinerary

1
Qaitbay Citadel
Your tour will begin with a pick-up from your hotel in Alexandria or Cairo. Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and will be holding a sign with your name on it. Your first stop will be the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress built on the ruins of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The citadel is located on a small island just off the coast of Alexandria and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. You will have about an hour to explore the citadel and learn about its history from your guide. You can climb to the top of the citadel for panoramic views of the city, or you can simply wander around and admire the architecture.
2
Roman Theater
After visiting the Qaitbay Citadel, you will head to the Roman Theater. The theater was built in the 2nd century AD and could seat up to 6,000 spectators. It is now in ruins, but it is still a fascinating place to explore. You will have about 30 minutes to explore the theater and learn about its history from your guide. You can walk around the stage and orchestra pit, or you can sit in the stands and imagine what it was like to be a spectator at a Roman performance.
3
Royal Jewelry Museum
After visiting the Roman Theater, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. Your guide will recommend a restaurant that serves traditional Egyptian cuisine. After lunch, you will head to the Royal Jewelry Museum. The museum houses a collection of over 10,000 pieces of jewelry from the royal families of Egypt. The museum is home to some of the most exquisite jewelry in the world, including the Crown of Egypt and the Necklace of the Two Lands. You will have about an hour to explore the museum and learn about the history of Egyptian jewelry from your guide. You can see jewelry from all periods of Egyptian history, from the ancient Egyptians to the Ottoman Empire.
4
Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Your final stop will be the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern library that was built on the site of the ancient Library of Alexandria. The library houses a collection of over 8 million books and is one of the largest libraries in the world. You will have about an hour to explore the library and learn about its history from your guide. You can see the library's collection of books, manuscripts, and maps.
