Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist you with the immigration and customs procedures. Then, you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo. You will have the rest of the day at your leisure to relax or explore the city on your own. After breakfast at your hotel, you will start your tour by visiting the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will see the three main pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, as well as the smaller pyramids of the queens and the nobles. You will also have a chance to enter one of the pyramids (extra ticket required) and marvel at the ancient engineering. Next, you will visit the Sphinx, the mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, and the Valley Temple, where the mummification of the king took place. After that, you will drive to the Egyptian Museum, the largest and most important museum of Egyptian antiquities. You will see the amazing collection of artifacts, statues, mummies, and jewelry from different periods of the Egyptian history, including the famous treasures of Tutankhamun and the Royal Mummy Room (extra ticket required). You will also have the option to visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which is expected to open in 2024 and display more than 100,000 objects in a modern and interactive way (extra ticket required). Then, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and continue your tour to Old Cairo, where you will discover the religious monuments of the three Abrahamic faiths: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. You will visit the Hanging Church, one of the oldest and most famous churches in Egypt, which is built on the ruins of a Roman tower. You will also visit the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed during their flight to Egypt. You will also visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest and most historic synagogue in Cairo, which was originally a Christian church. After that, you will visit the Khan El Khalili bazaar, the oldest and largest market in Cairo, where you can find a variety of goods, such as souvenirs, antiques, spices, perfumes, and jewelry. You can also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at one of the traditional cafes, such as the famous El Fishawy. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will fly to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes and the capital of the New Kingdom. You will start your tour by visiting the Karnak Temple complex, the largest and most magnificent temple in Egypt. The complex is dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, and was built and expanded by generations of pharaohs over 1500 years. You will walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Great Court, the Hypostyle Hall, the Obelisks, the Sacred Lake, and the Temple of Khonsu. You will also see the Sound and Light Show at the temple, which narrates the history and glory of the ancient city of Thebes (extra ticket required). Next, you will visit the Luxor Temple, another splendid temple that was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple is connected to the Karnak Temple by a 3-kilometer long avenue of sphinxes, and it was the site of the Opet Festival, a celebration of the divine union of Amun and his consort Mut. You will see the massive statues of Ramses II, the obelisk, the colonnades, and the sanctuaries. Then, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and cross the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor, where you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial site of the New Kingdom pharaohs. You will enter three of the most impressive tombs, decorated with colorful scenes of the afterlife and the journey of the soul. You will also have the option to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, the boy king who was discovered intact in 1922 (extra ticket required). After that, you will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh who ruled Egypt with full power. The temple is built into the cliffs and consists of three terraces with colonnades, statues, and reliefs. You will learn about the remarkable life and achievements of Hatshepsut, and how she was erased from history by her successor. Finally, you will stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded his mortuary temple, but now stand alone in the fields. You will hear the legend of the singing statue, and take some photos with the colossal figures. After the tour, fly to Cairo you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
