After breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver and start your tour of the Giza Pyramids Complex, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will marvel at the three majestic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and learn about their history and secrets. You will also have the opportunity to enter one of the pyramids (optional, extra charge) and see the burial chamber of the pharaoh.Next, you will visit the Great Sphinx, the largest and oldest statue in the world. You will admire its imposing figure and mysterious face, and hear the legends and myths surrounding it. You will admire the architecture and the views of the sea and the harbor.Next, you will visit the Serapeum, a temple dedicated to the god Serapis, a syncretic deity that combined aspects of the Egyptian and Greek gods. You will see the remains of the temple and the underground galleries that housed the sacred Apis bulls.After that, you will visit the Catacombs of Kom Ash Shoqafah, a Roman necropolis that consists of three levels of tombs and chambers. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and driver and start your tour of Aswan.You will visit the High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that controls the flow of the Nile and provides hydroelectric power and irrigation. You will learn about the construction and the impact of the dam, and see the Lake Nasser, the largest artificial lake in the world.Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, a huge granite obelisk that was abandoned in the quarry due to a crack. You will see the marks of the ancient tools and the methods of cutting and transporting the obelisk.
