You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo and check in. You will have some time to relax and freshen up before your tour begins.In the evening, you will meet your guide and driver and start your tour of Cairo. You will enjoy a dinner cruise on the Nile, the longest and most famous river in the world. You will savor a delicious buffet of Egyptian and international cuisine, and watch a live show of traditional music and dance. After breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver and start your tour of the Giza Pyramids Complex, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will marvel at the three majestic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and learn about their history and secrets. You will also have the opportunity to enter one of the pyramids (optional, extra charge) and see the burial chamber of the pharaoh.Next, you will visit the Great Sphinx, the largest and oldest statue in the world. You will admire its imposing figure and mysterious face, and hear the legends and myths surrounding it. You will also visit the Valley Temple, where the mummification of the pharaohs took place.After that, you will drive to the Egyptian Museum, the largest and most important museum of Egyptian antiquities. You will explore its vast collection of artifacts, statues, mummies, and treasures, and see the highlights such as the Narmer Palette, the Rosetta Stone, and the golden mask of Tutankhamun.At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel and enjoy a free evening. You will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress that was built on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will admire the architecture and the views of the sea and the harbor.Next, you will visit the Serapeum, a temple dedicated to the god Serapis, a syncretic deity that combined aspects of the Egyptian and Greek gods. You will see the remains of the temple and the underground galleries that housed the sacred Apis bulls.After that, you will visit the Catacombs of Kom Ash Shoqafah, a Roman necropolis that consists of three levels of tombs and chambers. After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and be transferred to the airport for your flight to Aswan, the gateway to Nubia. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and driver and start your tour of Aswan.You will visit the High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that controls the flow of the Nile and provides hydroelectric power and irrigation. You will learn about the construction and the impact of the dam, and see the Lake Nasser, the largest artificial lake in the world.Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, a huge granite obelisk that was abandoned in the quarry due to a crack. You will see the marks of the ancient tools and the methods of cutting and transporting the obelisk. You will also learn about the significance and symbolism of the obelisk in ancient Egypt.After that, you will visit the Philae Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, the mother of Horus and the wife of Osiris. You will take a boat ride to the island where the temple is located, and see the pylon, the courtyard, the hypostyle hall, thesanctuary, and the kiosk of Trajan. You will see the four colossal statues of Ramses II that guard the entrance, and the smaller statues of his family and gods.
