Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist you with the immigration and customs procedures. Then, you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo. You will have the rest of the day at your leisure to relax or explore the city on your own. In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner cruise on the Nile River, where you will savor a delicious buffet and watch a live show of belly dancing, tanoura, and folkloric music. Overnight in Cairo.

Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, GEM, Cairo Citadel, and Old Cairo
Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, GEM, Cairo Citadel, and Old Cairo
After breakfast at your hotel, you will start your tour by visiting the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will see the three main pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, as well as the smaller pyramids of the queens and the nobles. You will also have a chance to enter one of the pyramids (extra ticket required) and marvel at the ancient engineering. Next, you will visit the Sphinx, the mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, and the Valley Temple, where the mummification of the king took place. After that, you will drive to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the new and largest museum of Egyptian antiquities in the world. The museum displays more than 100,000 objects, including the complete collection of Tutankhamun and his famous golden mask. You will also see the royal mummies, the statues of the pharaohs, the artifacts of the daily life, and the religious and funerary objects. You will also have the option to visit the GEM Conservation Center, where you can see how the experts preserve and restore the ancient treasures (extra ticket required). Then, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and continue your tour to the Cairo Citadel, a medieval fortress that was built by Salah al-Din in the 12th century to protect the city from the Crusaders. You will see the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, which is the most prominent landmark of the citadel and has a beautiful dome and minarets. You will also see the panoramic view of Cairo from the citadel walls. After that, you will visit the Old Cairo, where you will discover the religious monuments of the three Abrahamic faiths: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. You will visit the Hanging Church, one of the oldest and most famous churches in Egypt, which is built on the ruins of a Roman tower. You will also visit the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed during their flight to Egypt. You will also visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest and most historic synagogue in Cairo, which was originally a Christian church.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will drive to Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt and the pearl of the Mediterranean. You will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress that was built on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will enjoy the stunning views of the sea and the city from the citadel walls. Next, you will visit the Alexandria Library, a modern architectural masterpiece that houses millions of books and manuscripts, as well as a museum, a planetarium, and a cultural center. The library is a tribute to the ancient library of Alexandria, which was the largest and most influential library in the ancient world. Then, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and continue your tour to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a Roman necropolis that consists of three levels of tombs, chambers, and halls. The catacombs are decorated with a unique blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art and symbols, reflecting the multiculturalism of Alexandria. After the tour, you will drive back to Cairo and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
