FAQs about
6 Days Classic Tour to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan Exploration

What is the best time to visit Egypt?

Egypt is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences and activities. Generally, the winter months (October to April) are cooler and more comfortable for sightseeing, while the summer months (May to September) are hotter and more suitable for beach activities. However, the winter months are also more crowded and expensive, while the summer months are less busy and cheaper.

What are the visa requirements for Egypt?

Most visitors need a visa to enter Egypt, which can be obtained online, on arrival, or from an Egyptian embassy or consulate. The visa fee is $25 USD for a single-entry visa or $60 USD for a multiple-entry visa, valid for 90 days. You will need a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and a blank page for the visa stamp. Some nationalities are exempt from the visa requirement or eligible for a free visa. For more information, please check the official website of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

What are the health and safety precautions for Egypt?

Egypt is generally a safe and friendly country, but you should exercise common sense and caution when traveling. Avoid political demonstrations, respect the local customs and dress code, and be aware of your surroundings. You should also take care of your health by drinking bottled water, avoiding raw or undercooked food, and getting vaccinated for common diseases. You should also carry a travel insurance that covers medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation. You can exchange your money at banks, hotels, or authorized exchange bureaus, or withdraw cash from ATMs. Credit cards are widely accepted in major cities and tourist areas, but you may need cash for smaller shops and rural areas. Tipping is customary and expected in Egypt, and it is known as baksheesh. You should tip your guide, driver, hotel staff, restaurant staff, and anyone who provides you a service. The amount of tip depends on the quality of service and your satisfaction, but a general rule is to tip 10% of the bill or more.

What are the packing essentials for Egypt?
