Upon your arrival at Cairo airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the visa formalities and luggage collection. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle. You will have some time to relax and freshen up before you enjoy a dinner cruise on the Nile river. You will savor a delicious buffet of Egyptian and international cuisine, and watch a live show of belly dancing, tanoura, and folkloric music. You will also admire the illuminated skyline of Cairo from the water. After the cruise, you will return to your hotel and have the evening at your leisure.

Day 2
Cairo Exploration
Cairo Exploration
After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide and start your tour to the Giza pyramids complex, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will marvel at the majestic structures of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, and learn about their history and secrets. You will also have a chance to enter one of the pyramids (extra cost) and take a camel ride around the plateau (extra cost). Next, you will visit the Sphinx, the mythical creature with a lion's body and a human's head, and the Valley Temple, where the mummification process took place. Then, you will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest and most modern museum of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the world. You will see the treasures of Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, throne, chariot, and jewelry. You will also see the mummies of the pharaohs, the animal mummies, the statues, the papyri, and the coins. You will also have an option to visit the Royal Mummy Room, where you can see the preserved bodies of some of the most famous pharaohs (extra cost). Finally, you will return to your hotel in Cairo and have the evening at your leisure.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and drive to Alexandria, the second-largest city and the main port of Egypt. You will visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the modern reincarnation of the ancient library of Alexandria, and admire its impressive architecture and collections. You will also see the planetarium, the manuscript museum, the antiquities museum, and the art galleries. Next, you will visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the largest Roman burial site in Egypt, and explore the underground chambers, tombs, and sculptures. You will also see the mixture of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art and culture. Then, you will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress that was built on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will see the defensive walls, the towers, the mosque, and the naval museum. You will also enjoy a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea from the citadel. Finally, you will visit the Pompey Pillar, a 25-meter-high granite column that was erected in honor of the Roman emperor Diocletian. After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and flight to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes, and the capital of ancient Egypt. You will visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial site of the New Kingdom pharaohs. You will enter three of the most impressive tombs, and see the colorful paintings and hieroglyphs that depict the afterlife journey of the kings. You will also have an option to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, the boy king who was discovered intact in 1922 (extra cost). Next, you will visit the Queen Hatshepsut temple, a unique terraced temple that was built by the first female pharaoh of Egypt. You will admire the elegant design and the statues of the queen, and learn about her remarkable achievements and mysterious death. Then, you will stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded his mortuary temple. You will hear the legend of the singing statue and take some photos. Finally, you will visit the Karnak temple, the largest religious complex in the world, and a masterpiece of ancient architecture and art. You will walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, and enter the Great Hypostyle Hall, where you will be amazed by the 134 massive columns. You will also see the sacred lake, the obelisks, the statues, and the chapels of various gods and goddesses. After that, you will check in to your hotel in Luxor and have the evening at your leisure.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and drive to Aswan, the southernmost city and the gateway to Africa. You will visit the High Dam, one of the largest dams in the world, and learn about its role in controlling the Nile floods and generating hydroelectric power. Then, you will visit the unfinished obelisk, a massive granite obelisk that was abandoned in the quarry due to a crack. You will see the marks of the ancient tools and techniques used to carve the obelisk, and wonder how it would have looked like if completed. After that, you will visit the Philae temple, a beautiful island temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. You will take a motorboat to reach the temple, and admire its elegant architecture and decorations. You will also learn about the rescue and relocation of the temple by UNESCO due to the construction of the High Dam. After that, you will check in to your hotel in Aswan and have the evening at your leisure.

Abu Simbel and Return to Cairo
Abu Simbel and Return to Cairo
After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and drive to Abu Simbel, a small town near the Sudanese border. You will visit the Abu Simbel temple, one of the most magnificent and impressive monuments of ancient Egypt. You will see the two colossal rock-cut temples that were carved out of the mountain by Ramses II, the greatest pharaoh of Egypt. You will admire the four giant statues of Ramses II at the entrance of the main temple, and the smaller statues of his wife Nefertari and his children at the entrance of the smaller temple. You will also see the intricate reliefs and paintings that depict the battles and victories of Ramses II, and the scenes of his worship and offerings to the gods. You will also learn about the amazing feat of engineering and preservation that moved the temples from their original location to avoid the rising waters of the High Dam. After that, you will flight back to cairo and overnight there
