Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the immigration and customs procedures. Then, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle. You’ll have the rest of the day at your leisure to relax or explore the city on your own

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll meet your guide and driver who will take you to the Giza Pyramids Complex, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You’ll marvel at the three majestic pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, which were built more than 4,500 years ago as royal tombs. You’ll also see the Great Sphinx, the mythical creature with a lion’s body and a human’s head, guarding the pyramids. You’ll have the opportunity to enter one of the pyramids or ride a camel around the plateau (optional, extra fees apply). Next, you’ll visit the Valley Temple, where the mummification and purification of the pharaohs took place. You’ll learn about the rituals and ceremonies that were performed in this sacred site. You’ll also see the boat pits, where the solar boats of the pharaohs were buried. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll continue to the Egyptian Museum, the old museum that houses more than 120,000 artifacts from different periods of Egyptian history. You’ll see the royal mummies, the animal mummies, the papyrus scrolls, the jewelry, and the weapons that reveal the secrets and stories of the ancient civilization. You’ll also see the famous collection of King Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, coffins, and treasures. After the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo for overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll check out and meet your guide and driver who will take you to the airport for your flight to Aswan, the southernmost city in Egypt and the gateway to Nubia. Upon your arrival, you’ll start your tour of the city that was once a major trading center and a strategic point for the ancient Egyptians. You’ll see the following attractions: The Philae Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, the mother of Horus and the wife of Osiris. You’ll admire the architecture and the reliefs of this temple, which was relocated to an island after the construction of the High Dam. You’ll also learn about the legends and myths of Isis and her role in the ancient Egyptian religion. The High Dam, the engineering marvel that was built in the 1960s to control the flooding of the Nile and provide hydroelectric power and irrigation for Egypt and Sudan. You’ll see the massive structure and the artificial Lake Nasser, the largest man-made lake in the world. You’ll also learn about the benefits and challenges of the dam and its impact on the environment and the people. The Unfinished Obelisk, the largest obelisk ever attempted by the ancient Egyptians, which was abandoned in the quarry due to a crack. You’ll see the huge granite block and the marks of the tools that were used to carve it. You’ll also wonder how the ancient Egyptians planned to transport and erect this colossal monument, which would have weighed more than 1,000 tons and stood 42 meters high. After the tour, you’ll have lunch at a local restaurant and then check in to your hotel in Aswan for overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll check out and meet your guide and driver who will take you to Luxor, the ancient capital of Egypt and the city of a thousand gates. On the way, you’ll stop at the following attractions on the West Bank, where the pharaohs and nobles were buried: The Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis of the New Kingdom, where 63 tombs of pharaohs and nobles are located. You’ll enter three of the most impressive tombs, decorated with colorful scenes and hieroglyphs. You’ll also have the option to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun, where his mummy is still preserved (extra fee applies). The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh who ruled Egypt in the 15th century BC. You’ll admire the unique design and architecture of this temple, which consists of three terraces connected by ramps and colonnades. You’ll also see the statues, reliefs, and paintings that depict the life and achievements of the queen. The Colossi of Memnon, the two gigantic statues of King Amenhotep III, who ruled Egypt in the 14th century BC. You’ll see the remains of these statues, which once guarded the entrance to the king’s mortuary temple. You’ll also hear the legend of the singing statue, which was believed to emit a sound at sunrise.After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll continue to the East Bank, where the most magnificent temples of Luxor are located. You’ll see the following attractions: The Temple of Karnak, the largest religious complex in the world, dedicated to the god Amun and his consort Mut. You’ll walk through the avenue of sphinxes, the great hypostyle hall, the obelisks, the sacred lake, and the various shrines and chapels that were built by different pharaohs over 2,000 years. You’ll also see the sound and light show that narrates the history and glory of this temple (optional, extra fee applies). The Luxor Temple, the second largest temple in Luxor, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II in the 14th and 13th centuries BC. You’ll see the statues, columns, courts, and walls that are decorated with scenes of festivals, battles, and offerings. You’ll also see the Mosque of Abu Al-Haggag, the 11th-century mosque that was built over the temple and still in use today. After the tour, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon your arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Cairo for overnight.
